- Actively participate in acquisition and maintenance of permits, bonding and insurance including UDOT, City, Vehicle, SWPPP, etc.
- Administer One Drive at the direction of the Estimating and Operations Managers with relevant project information including phase lists & CO work orders. Add Phases at the request of the Superintendents. Distribute project documents to field.
- Attend pre-construction, project hand-off, cost reviews, and project job progress meetings
- Work with Traffic Control department to prepare traffic control plans and pull permits
- Verify aggregate quantity, and coding daily
- Process change orders and T&M work tickets as needed by the Project Managers
- Assist and with purchase orders, submittals, and project supplier quotes
- Assist estimating team with RFI logs, change orders, and submittals
- Adhere to and be a champion for company safety programs.
- Ensure compliance with all company and governmental regulations.
- Provide training certifications to customers as requested
- Measure and record quantities for pay
- Estimate and manage projects assigned by the Operations or Estimating Manager.
- Attend Pre Bid meetings.
- Identify, assist, and maintain the prequalification database and applications, by keeping past project lists & resumes up to date, relevant to business unit.
- Perform other duties as assigned by Operations, Estimating and/or General Manager.
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or other related field. 0 - 5 years construction experience is preferred with; or an equivalent of education and experience will be accepted
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
- Ability to write correspondence.
- Ability to effectively present information in one on one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization. .
- Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
- Ability to compute, rate, ration, percent, land to draw and interpret bar graphs.
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed, but uninvolved written or oral instructions
- To perform this job successfully, an individual should be able to type and use keyboards accurately and have knowledge of scheduling, excel, and database software.
