  • Cultivate and develop opportunities to incorporate safe work practices into daily working routine; assist others in identifying and adhering to established safety procedures; be mindful of potential safety issues and report them immediately to a Supervisor, Safety Committee member or Group Health & Safety Manager
  • Review daily shipments for accuracy & margins before invoicing
  • Process and reconcile cash, debit and credit card sales
  • Work closely with production, yard and sales staff to get orders out to customers
  • Works closely with both the Finance and Sales Department to monitor credit issues with customers
  • Collaborate with Key Account Managers to provide excellent customer service
  • Manage & resolve escalated customer service issues
  • Perform regular duties of CSR – Inside Sales during periods of heavy volume
  • Ensures all orders are ready to invoice
  • Post orders in Lawson
  • May assist with the purchasing of resale products
  • Prepares reports as required
  • Other duties may be assigned
  • Project work (seasonal & for Key Account Managers) such as creating product binders and providing other promotional/information material for contractors, masons, architects, engineers, etc.
  • Oversee and mentor the CSRs by providing leadership through the use of best practice in recruitment, retention, employee development, job enrichment/assignment initiatives and may assist in departmental succession planning
  • Coach employees by providing performance improvements plans; training and development opportunities; and creating an environment of positive employee relations
  • Onboard and provided orientations of new hires; provide new hire documentation to appropriate departments
  • Review and approve timecards for all subordinates
  • Communicate with Production team as well as yard staff regarding inventory levels
  • Collaborates with Key Account Managers to exchange information of value within the team
  • Oversee general office functions such as ordering office supplies, arranging for maintenance of office equipment, etc.
  • May serve as back up for Plant Administrator during absence and vacation periods by providing information related to inventory and available product
  • Maintain general office by restocking brochures and promotional materials, price list updates, and office cleanliness
  • May arrange couriers and outgoing mail
  • May complete daily bank deposits and/or act as back up to complete daily bank deposits if CSR is on leave/vacation

  • Product Knowledge
  • Position Experience/Education
  • High School Diploma, or equivalent
  • Previous sales experience (inside/customer service) is highly desirable
  • Minimum of three (3) years' supervisory experience
  • Some basic bookkeeping/accounting knowledge would be an asset
  • Advanced computer skills, specifically with Lawson (ERP), Outlook, and Excel software
  • Base salary is $68,000 - $75,000
