- Ensure a safe work environment in compliance with all safety policies and procedures using the appropriate tools and equipment for the task.
- Properly follow all company policies and OSHA / MSHA regulations for safe working procedures and environment.
- Report any problems to your manager.
- Follow directions of manager as to daily tasks and expectations for each specific project.
- Repair all components involved ready Mix processing equipment.
- Maintain and operate field service truck.
- Follow proper lockout / tag out procedures.
- Work on projects with company maintenance crew and contractors.
- Provide basic tools for welding and fabrication/hand tools for millwright work.
- Analyzes malfunctions and repairs, rebuilds, and maintenance of equipment
- Perform routine maintenance of all equipment.
- Examines parts for damage or excessive wear, using micrometers and gauges
- Perform all routine maintenance of company-owned equipment including water pumps, heavy equipment, and vehicles
- Test all equipment after routine maintenance for efficiency (must be able to operate all equipment)
- Check welds, broken parts and structural members
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Work Requirements
The ideal candidate will:
- Must be able to work weekends
- Pass pre-employment drug screen and criminal background check.
- Pass a pre-employment "Fit for Work" physical.
- Be able to provide valid documentation for the I-9 Immigration document.
- Display a professional and courteous attitude to co-workers, supervisors and the general public at all times.
- Report to work at the designated start time.
- Must be willing to travel and work away from home when required.
- Be able to work overtime when required.
- Be willing to work outdoors in extreme temperatures, both hot and cold.
- Strictly adhere to safety requirements and procedures as outlined in the Employee Handbook.
- Have the willingness to work in a team environment and assist co-workers or supervisors with other duties as required.
- Wear personal protective equipment (PPE) in designated operations and production areas as stated by OSHA and / or MSHA.
- Be at least age 18 years of age due to nature of working environment.
- Minimum high school diploma or general education degree (GED) required.
- 2 years related experience is preferred.
Qualifications
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
Language Skills:
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to speak effectively to customers or employees of organization.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
- Must have a valid drivers license (CDL is a plus)...
