  • Fleet scheduling: Develop weekly and monthly schedules for the Maintenance and Services fleet based on customer demands, priorities, and operational constraints.
  • Route Optimization: Utilize route planning tools to optimize the sequencing and mapping of service routes. Consider factors like traffic conditions, distance, cleaning times, and fuel consumption to ensure the most efficient and cost-effective routes are assigned.
  • Communication and Coordination: Maintain effective communication channels with accounting, service personnel, customers, and other relevant personnel. Provide clear instructions and updates regarding schedules, route changes, and other pertinent information to ensure smooth operations and minimize disruptions.
  • Fleet Maintenance Planning: Collaborate with the vehicle maintenance team to schedule regular inspections, servicing, and repairs for the fleet. Assist field supervisors in ensuring vehicles are well-maintained and in compliance with State and Federal safety and regulatory standards.
  • Data Analysis: Work closely with Field Operations to help identify fleet trends, driver challenges, and operational needs using the fleet GPS tracking software.
  • Supervise Fleet Scheduler team: Be a player-coach, fully understanding how to do all tasks and activities and coaching and training a team to do them as the business grows and expands.
  • Fleet Project Management – An understanding of fleet management principles, processes, and methods, including vehicle maintenance, fuel management, route planning, and asset utilization, to achieve group goals and objects driving efficiency of people and vehicles.
  • Communication Skills – Effective communication is crucial for a fleet scheduler to collaborate with field personnel, maintenance personnel, accounting personnel, customers, and other stakeholders. Clear and concise communication ensures that instructions, schedules, paperwork, and updates are well-understood and followed.
  • Problem-Solving Abilities – A fleet scheduler must have strong problem-solving skills to handle unexpected issues such as breakdowns, delays, weather, or other changes in cleaning schedules. The ability to think on their feet, make quick decisions, and adapt to dynamic situations is essential.
  • Technology Proficiency – Familiarity with fleet management software, GPS tracking systems, and other technological tools used in the industry. Ability to proficiently use a computer, understand and learn new software, and deployment of field technology is essential.
  • Time Management – Excellent organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks are essential for managing fleet schedule effectively. A fleet scheduler must be able to balance multiple priorities, handle urgent requests, and meet deadlines without compromising overall efficiency.
  • Adaptability – The ability to adapt to changing circumstances, such as fluctuating demand, weather conditions, or unexpected disruptions, is crucial for a successful fleet scheduler. Being flexible and adjusting schedules accordingly helps maintain operations effectiveness.
  • 5+ years of experience with logistics, supply chain management, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in fleet project management, transportation logistics, or a similar role.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational abilities.
